Traditionally adaptogens have been thought to be herbal compounds such as ashwagandha and rhodiola that help humans resist the effects of stress. More broadly, adaptogen ingredients can help humans with sleep, brain function, longevity, digestive health and much more.

The way we define “Clinical Grade” at Rootine is through two metrics.

Standardization of active compounds - One is ensuring plant ingredients contain a standardized amount of bioactives that are responsible for the positive benefits. At Rootine, we use adaptogenic herbs that have standardized percents of bioactive compounds.

Effective Dosing - The second part of clinical grade is related to the dose of the ingredient. Dose matters when it comes to moving the needle for health benefits. We use effective doses of our ingredients that are supported by the latest clinical research.

What does “Clinical Grade Adaptogens” mean?

Our adaptogenic drink mixes are designed to take at key points of your day to optimize your circadian health.

We recommend taking Stress in the mid-morning or anytime you are experiencing high levels of stress.

Focus is great to take when you need to get into a productive, flow state. This may be mid-morning or mid-afternoon to overcome that afternoon slump. If you are sensitive to caffeine, we do not recommend taking Focus after 12pm.

Sleep is great to take 30-60 minutes before bed to help your body and mind start to calm down and prepare for an efficient night’s sleep.

Can I take all 3 products together?

We always recommend discussing your supplement routine with your healthcare provider but most people find our adaptogenic drink mixes are very complimentary to the multivitamin. 

Can I take these with the Rootine multivitamin?

Our adaptogenic drink mixes have a two year expiration date. 

How long will they stay fresh?

Our adaptogenic drink mixes are made without any gluten or animal products and have been tested to be vegan and gluten free.

Are they vegan/gluten free?

Our Adaptogen Drink Mixes are dietary supplements and have not been reviewed nor qualify to be approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as only pharmaceutical medications go through an approval process. 

Are they FDA approved?

Not for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Please consult with your doctor before use.

Can I take these if I'm pregnant or nursing?

Are they safe for children?

One of the benefits of our adaptogenic drink mixes is that they are fast-acting! Most people notice results in 10-30 minutes with expansive benefits with consistent use.

How long until I notice results?

We recommend talking to your prescribing health care professional as each medication has specific drug-nutrient interactions that must be considered. 

Can I take these if I'm on medication?

Our adaptogen drink mixes do not contain sugar or artificial sweeteners. They do contain stevia.

Does it contain sugar, Stevia, or artificial sweeteners?

Great question! The difference is in the dose. Our adaptogen drink mixes contain a small amount of prebiotic fiber tolerated well by most individuals.

We recommend sensitive individuals start with 1/2 packet and observe how you feel.

Will the prebiotics makes me gassy?

Can I mix them in liquids other than water? Hot liquids okay?

What are the difference between the old stress formulas and the new ones?

A prebiotic is a type of dietary fiber that acts as food for beneficial bacteria in the gut. Prebiotics are non-digestible components of food that promote the growth and activity of these helpful microorganisms. By nourishing beneficial bacteria, prebiotics help maintain a healthy balance of gut flora, which is crucial for digestive health, immune function, and overall well-being. Most health organizations recommend adults consume 30 grams of dietary fiber per day.

What prebiotics does Rootine use in our formulas?

If you are sensitive to prebiotics, we recommend starting with 1/2 stick pack in one sitting and slowly increasing to a full stick pack over 1-2 weeks.

Sensitivity to prebiotics in the form of gas, bloating, discomfort and changes in stool habits can occur from a few different reasons. If you are currently consuming a low fiber diet, increasing your fiber slowly over a few weeks can minimize gastrointestinal symptoms. Individuals that have imbalances in their microbiome from medical conditions, medication use such as antibiotics and steroids or consume a low fiber, high-processed food diets may experience more gastrointestinal issues in the beginning that tend to resolve with consistent prebiotic intake. We always recommend you talk to your healthcare professional that understands your full medical history before starting a new supplement routine.
