The Blood Vitamin Test analyzes blood levels of vitamin B9, B12, D3, hs-CRP, and homocysteine to guide dosing for B2, B6, B9, B12, D3, C, and omega-3s in your Rootine daily packs.

The test is completed in ~5 minutes at your home. All that is required is a painless finger prick. Put the samples in the mail and you are done!

What does the blood vitamin test, test for?

Once received by the lab, Blood Vitamin testing can take around 1 week before results are available.

Once available, you'll be able to view your results in your Rootine dashboard 

How long until I get my results?

We recommend taking a blood test every 3-6 months to adjust your Rootine multivitamin formula accordingly. We do offer a quarterly blood test subscription, and discounts on blood testing for our active subscribers.

Repeated Blood Vitamin Tests are plotted in your Rootine dashboard so that you can see progress as your blood levels change. In addition, this information is also fed back into our algorithm to inform your dosing at an even deeper level.

We recommend taking a blood test every 3-6 months.

How often should I take a blood test? 

We recommend ordering a blood test 30-45 days after you receive your most recent shipment of vitamins and completing the test as quickly as possible. This will ensure we have time to analyze the samples, request additional samples (if needed) and update your formula prior to production. If you do need a bit more time, just send us a quick head’s up and we’ll make an adjustment to your production date!

When should I take the blood test if I want my next shipment’s formula to be updated? 

Including blood level data will further customize your vitamin recommendation, but it is not required. You can obtain blood data by ordering an at-home test from Rootine or requesting a blood test from your doctor or local lab. The latter two options require a manual upload of the data (in your dashboard) when you receive your results.

We recommend stopping any current nutrient, you plan to replace with Rootine, for 7-10 days prior to collecting samples. Please note: If you are currently taking Rootine, and simply re-resting your blood levels, please continue with your daily regimen.

Should I stop my current regimen prior to completing the blood vitamin test?

COVID can impact labs in the short run including inflammatory markers like C-reactive protein that we measure. We recommend testing 2 weeks after you have recovered from symptoms of fever, cough, body aches and fatigue.
